…the Lamb in the middle of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water…

Lord, thank You that you are shepherding Father Shaw and Mother Julie Mudge and leading them to springs of living water. May they be directed, empowered and refreshed by your Holy Spirit. Thank You for the missionary program that they are finishing up in California. We pray for safe travel for them and for a good meeting with SAMS on November 7. Be with Lydia as she continues to become adjusted to life in the U.S. and to college.

From Revelation 7:12

Psalm 16:7-9; 11

I will praise the Lord who guides me; yes, during the night I reflect and learn.
I constantly trust in the Lord; because he is at my right hand, I will not be upended.
So my heart rejoices and I am happy; my life is safe.

You lead me in the path of life; I experience absolute joy in your presence; you always give me delight.

Thank You Lord, for guiding Father Shaw and Mother Julie Mudge into the mission that You have for them.  You are their right hand, Lord.  They constantly trust in You.  Their hearts rejoice and they are happy.  You keep them safe as You lead them on the path of life.  Thank You for the absolute joy that they experience as they follow Your lead.  Thank You for the delight that they feel when they are in Your presence.

Lord, we especially thank You for the 2 month long program in which they are participating to hear You more clearly.  Thank You for the weekend excursions that reveal the beauty of Your creation.  You are an awesome God.  Thank You.  Amen.

Scripture Prayer

Philippians 1: 4-6

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Lord Jesus, we lift up to You Father Shaw and Mother Julie as they begin another month in California, discerning the next step that You have for them and getting equipped for that mission. Thank You that they are enjoying the program and benefitting much from it. We know Lord, that You have begun a good work in them and will carry it on to completion. Thank You for your faithfulness.

We thank You also for the three Mudge daughters: For Ruth in the Chicago area, help her to prosper there and to lead an abundant life with meaningful work and good friends. For Hannah in Troy, bless the Oaks of Righteousness Minsistry which she has founded with Christina Vance. For Lydia in college in Boston, for her continuing adjustment to college and the the US in general and to life away from Mom and Dad. May she find a good church fit.

We thank You lord, for all the Mudges. Bless them mightlily in their work for You. Amen.

Prayer Mail

Dear Prayer Partners,
Peace be with you.
This is our public prayer mail for this week.

Thanksgivings:

1. The big news this week is that we have decided to extend our stay at the missionary program for another month; as far as I know, the news is not official yet, but should be, soon. Note that this is under Thanksgivings. We are getting a lot out of the program. On weekends, we get out and about. Getting out and about, too, is a thanksgiving, and you may find some of our weekend photos on Facebook.

2. For the missionary conference that SAMS invited us to this week; SAMS invited us in the middle of the week; the conference took place in California on the weekend. It was awesome, and I realized, once again, how much of a positive impact all our daughters have had throughout the Anglican Communion. Now, we are getting to be known as "the parents of..."

3. That necessary repairs have been made to the kitchen that we use, and I learned a lot about plumbing in the process. Also, that the air conditioning filter in our unit was changed; the filter was grim.

Prayers:

1. For our totally awesome missionary program. We have finished up week four. We plan to return to New York State in early Novemember. This past week, we found out that one month is typically planned to be about half-way through, funds permitting.

2. For Lydia's continuing adjustment to college and to the US in general, and to life away from Mom and Dad. Pray that she would find a good church fit.

3. For continuing discernment, as we begin to look beyond the missionary program, taking into account the things that we are learning here.

4. That we would continue to be a blessing to all whom we encounter. God is really answering prayers here.

God bless you. I pray for you every day.

Scripture Prayer

Psalm 105: 1-4

Give thanks to the Lord.
Call on him.
Make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him.
Make music to praise him.
Meditate on all the miracles he has performed.
Brag about his holy name.
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Search for the Lord and his strength.
Always seek his presence.

Lord, we give thanks to You. We call upon your name in intercession for Father Shaw and Mother Julie Mudge. They truly seek You as they complete their missionary program in California. Let their hearts rejoice as they seek You and your strength. Always be with them Lord. Make known to them the next step in their mission service to You, so that they may make known what You have done. May they have joyful music in their hearts with which to praise You.

We thank You Lord, for the beauty of your creation and the opportunity that Father Shaw and Mother Julie had to experience your glorious work in Yosemite Park. Be with them through their last week in Califormia and on their journey back to New York. Be with Lydia as she adjusts to life in college, in the USA, and away from Mom and Dad. Thank You for all your blessings, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
