Scripture Prayer

Colossians 1: 9-12

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased praying for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

Lord, since they have started their mission work for You, we have not ceased praying for Fr. Shaw and Mother Julie Mudge. Thank You for your faithfulness in sending them blessings in the past, right now, and in the future as well: that they be filled with the knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. May they continue to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, and bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in their knowledge of You. May they be strengthened with all power, according to your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy. May they always give thanks to You, as they continue to shine your light into all of the world. Amen!

Specifically, Lord, we pray that You guide Father Shaw and Mother Julie as they plan their site visits to Uganda and Kenya. Lead them Lord, into that mission field where You want them to use their God given gifts for the spread of Your Word. Keep them safe, Lord. And we pray for Lydia as well. Help her to finish the work for her first semester and help her to start the second semester with a burst of enthusiasm. Give her your joy and peace and may she never forget about your unconditional love for her. Amen. Amen.
