Scripture Prayer

 From Psalm 144: 1-2 and 15

 Blessed be the Lord, my rock,

He is my steadfast love and my fortress,
My stronghold and my deliverer,
My shield and he in whom I take refuge.
Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall!
Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!

 Blessed are You, Lord.  We exalt You for being our rock, our steadfast love and our fortress, our stronghold and deliverer, our shield and our deliverer. Blessed are we all because You choose to bless us, Lord.  Blessed are we, the people of God.

 And especially blessed are Father Shaw and Mother Julie and their family.  We thank You for Julie’s new position as head of chaplains in 2 CT hospitals.  Bless her in this ministry.   We thank You for Lydia’s venture into missionary work in Honduras.  Bless her Lord in her fund raising activities, in the training that she will soon undergo.  Provide for her, Lord, everything that she needs.

 Continue to bless Father Shaw and his global mission of theological education.  We pray for a solution to the shortage of a particular book.  We pray for all those in the program in Belize and we ask for more students in Belize and elsewhere.

 We pray for the impending move to Manchester CT.  Help the Mudges to find the home you want for them.  And we pray for Father Shaw’s mother.  We put her into your hands, Lord.

 Thank You for all our blessings.  Amen.
