Ephesians 3: 14-19
For this
reason I kneel before the
Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his
glorious riches he may
strengthen you with power through his
Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and
established in love, may have
power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know
this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Father God, As Paul prayed
for the Ephesians, so we pray for Father Shaw Mudge. We pray that our of your glorious riches You
may strengthen Father Shaw with power through the Holy Spirit in his inner
being. May Christ dwell in his heart
always increasing his faith. And being
rooted and established in love, may Father Shaw and his family and his students
have power to grasp and always remember how wide and long and high and deep is
the love of Christ. May they know this
love that surpasses knowledge and be filled to overflowing with all the
fullness of You, God.
We send a special prayer
for the Albany Diocesan Convention. May
the Mudges have some special “holy appointments”, meeting with people that can
help them in their ministry. And may
they have a time of fellowship with old friends and new, and get some rest and
recreation as well. In the name of Jesus,
we pray. Amen.
