Scripture Prayer

Psalm 96: 1-4

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous words among all the peoples!
For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.

Lord, as we celebrate this season of your birth, we thank You for the new life that You have brought to Father Shaw and Mother Julie Mudge. Thank You that You have spoken to the Mudges and set their sights on a mission in Uganda or Kenya. There they will declare your glory and share your marvelous words among all the peoples. Thank You for the new song; and thank You for the greatest gift of all, the gift of salvation. Great You are Lord and so awesome too!

Be with the whole Mudge family, Lord, as they celebrate Christmas together. May they have a loving time. Continue to guide them into the mission that you have planned for them. Thank You that all three daughters can celebrate Christmas with their parents. Thank You for Hannah’s exciting news about her Troy mission. Please help Lydia to get organized and finish her Fall semester work during the January break.

Jesus, we especially ask You to shine through everything that the Mudges do. Help them to minister effectively in your name. Help them to plan their site visits in Africa and to further discern your long-term plans for them.

To God be the glory! Amen.
