2Corinthians 4: 5-6
For we do not proclaim ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said “Let light shine out of the darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.
We thank You Lord for the light of Jesus Christ in the lives of Father Shaw and Mother Julie and Lydia Mudge. May your light continue to shine through them as they commence new aspects of ministry. Be with Lydia as she starts her studies at Gordon College, and be with Shaw and Julie as they spend this week in Maine. Give them good weather to enjoy your awesome creation of nature. May they have a time of relaxation, reflection and renewing of their spirits, readying themselves for whatever mission You have waiting for them. Whatever they will be doing, Lord, we trust that Jesus will continue to shine in their hearts as they share their glorious knowledge of You in the face of Christ. Amen.
