Scripture Prayer

Ephesians 1: 15-19

For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might.

Lord, we pray these poetic verses for our friends, Father Shaw and Mother Julie Mudge. We continually thank You for their great faith in You and their love of all the people to whom they minister. We pray that they may be given the spirit of wisdom and new revelations in their knowledge of You. May the eyes of their hearts be enlightened. May they know the hope to which You have called them, and the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of your power.

Lord, we particularly thank You for the progress in the mission work for Belize. We pray that You are with the Mudges as they make plans for an on site visit and start to prepare materials for courses to begin in September. And we pray for the possible work in Tanzania. If it is your plan for the Mudges to work in both venues, we pray that things begin to come together as a sign of the working of your great might.

And thank You that Lydia has finished her first year of college. Help her to have a restful summer of growing closer to You and discerning your plans for her life.

Thank You Lord for the Mudges and all of the work that You do through them. Amen.
