Scripture Prayer

Galatians 5: 22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Father God and Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You for sending your Holy Spirit into this world enabling us to build your kingdom. We ask for more of your Holy Spirit for Father Shaw and Mother Julie as they work to bring theological education into Belize and Tanzania. Thank You for the fruit that has already been produced and we request very large harvests in the days to come.

Thank You for love in the Mudges’ family life and in their interactions with those to whom they minister.
Thank You for the joy that comes from working in the power of the Holy Spirit for You.
Thank You for the peace that surpasses all understanding as they work through difficulties yoked to You.
Thank You for patience. Working with disadvantaged students who struggle with the English language and have not had educational opportunities like those in the U.S. can sometimes be disheartening. The policy that no student fails but some take longer to complete a course is so evident of the gift of patience.
Thank You for the kindness that the Mudges pass on to all that they work with.
Thank You for the goodness that prevails in their lives.
Thank You for their great faithfulness in listening for your direction and following it.
Thank You for the gentleness and self-control in their lives.

Amen.
